Scientific name: Squilla Mantis. It's a crustacean that can grow up to a maximum length of 20cm. There are widely found in the Mediterranean Sea, but mainly in the Adriatic Sea. The Squilla Mantis lives in our seas, in sandy or muddy areas between 10 m to 20 m below sea level. It has a coastal habitat. Bottom trawlers are usually used to catch them, . The cobs are suited to many diets, because, from a calories viewpoint their intake is rather low.
