The crangon crangon, commonly called the grey shrimp, is a shrimp which belongs to the crangonidi family and is also known by the name of the granat. Among the wide variety of shrimps, this is one of the most popular in the world. The grey shrimp lives in the Adriatic Sea in areas where the bottom is sandy. It is caught using bottom-trawling nets. In terms of nutritional properties, shrimps are certainly a low-calorie food and have a good quantity of protein while being low in fat.
