These fish live in large schools.
The flow of the waters of several rivers into the Adriatic Sea creates a greater presence of plankton, for this reason, Adriatic anchovies eat more, grow faster and are therefore more fat. Previously they were fished for only in summer summer, but now you can fish for them all year round.
In nutritional terms anchovy is classified as a semi-oily fish and is quite digestible.
